when new version ?Īctually I warned everyone not to update last week. In the meantime, please check for updates. If this version just came out, please be patient while we update our code. You are using a newer version of Skyrim than this version of SKSE64 supports.

I'm really grasping at straws at this point, as you can see, but there is clearly some conflict on my PC and I'm looking for some way to identify what that conflict is. I did disable updates already as you mentioned, but that is irrelevant at the moment as there is no recent update to Skyrim SE. My Skyrim SE is on the current version (1.5.53.0), with SKSE 2.0.10 (runtime 1.5.53). Made sure my anti-virus has whitelisted skse_loader, even disabled the AV completely to make sure it wasn't the issue.Ĭreated a new User in Windows and tried to run it through there, no change. Again, I had this working no problem just a day before this was posted, then it randomly stopped overnight. I've actually done both this and the previous step 2-3 times, with no change. Re-installed Skyrim SE from Steam after doing the above, and then installed SKSE manually by doing as you mention in your post.

Just to expand on that, here are the things I've done specifically:Ĭompletely uninstalled Skyrim SE through Steam, manually deleted the Skyrim SE folder in My Documents, and deleted any remnant files that Steam missed in the primary install directory. Unfortunately I have already done everything you suggested, and as you can see from the screenshots the installation is correct. Thank you for taking the time to write out your response. I keep a copy of the folder that I know works and just copy the vetted file over. If you need the edits in the files you can either save the modified files and hope there are no errors in them or reedit them. It will be a new game with no save files. This should reinitialize the folder in My Documents. Now it is possible that your initilization files are still corrupted, so you might try deleting everything in the C:\Users\ yourfile\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Editionįolder, then run yourdrive:\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\SkyrimSELauncher.exe

Right there is also Updates and make sure the first box says Only update this game when I launch it then only launch through skse64_loader.exe Second go to Steam Library, your Games, choose The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and open the Properties, then click on Local Files, then click of Verify Integrity of Game Files. This is all you need to do to install SKSE. Copying the DATA folder into the file with a DATA folder sometimes confuses people. The skse64_loader.exe file will be visible in the folder if you did this right. Just copy everything directly into the folder.

Unzip and open the 7z download and copy all files in that folder into \Skyrim Special Edition\. Open yourdrive:\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\ no errors and no problems.įirst fix: Go to and download the 7z file from " Current SE build 2.0.10 (runtime 1.5.53): 7z archive" I just tested Skyrim SE and I am running the latest version of SKSE. Your error message says the version of SKSE you downloaded is either the wrong version or installed in the wrong directory. Steam is loaded before launching skse64_loader.exe. Made sure skse64_loader.exe is allowed by both my AV and Windows Firewall

Running everything as admin, nothing as admin, and every combination in-between I skipped MO2, as I was just trying to get it working at all without any other potential third party causes.

Screenshots of the install paths attached in case it's something there.

I was playing fine all day yesterday, and nothing has changed since then, so I am at a loss.įresh Skyrim Special Edition install via Steam, then manual install of SKSE through there. I restarted my PC a few times, and magically it worked again.įast forward to today, where once again it is giving me the error. Two days ago I tried to launch the game, and it gave me an error "Script command getskseversion not found" whenever I tried to do the getskseversion command. I setup a Lexy version of Skyrim and have been playing it no problem since last week, until two days ago. I made a post on the nexus forums too, but no responses yet, so hoping for some help here. I am basically at the same spot he was when he gave up, where I have tried re-installing everything fresh, etc, but still cannot get my skse recognized. I'm having the same issue as Hitt0r was having, and was disappointed to see he just ended up giving up.
